Job Description Summary

Bank

of the West is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master to

oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of

the project cycle, with responsibilities that include project design, scope

management, cost control, quality and performance reporting.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop,track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope Manageproject resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating,coaching and advising.

  • Partnerclosely with other members of functional project teams to definebusiness requirements.

  • Leadteams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions thatmeet business needs.

  • Ensureappropriate systems development and project management processes are beingutilized.

  • Makepresentations to steering committees or project sponsors.

  • Provenproject management experience.

  • Peoplemanagement and team building skills.

  • Demonstratedability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changingenvironment and to manage competing priorities.

  • Provenability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with businesspartners at different levels within the organization.

  • Strongability to assess risk and apply management principles to technologyapplications/products and business functions.

  • Experiencedelivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale,multi-platform systems environment.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

  • May have deep knowledge of project management.

  • Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience.

Education

  • Bachelor'sdegree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering orrelated field required. MIS, MBA or other related advanced degreepreferred

  • 8-10 years relevant experience minimum.Minimum: 3 year as Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master.Agile/Scrum Certifications a plus.

  • Facilitatesand leads team meetings.

  • Monitorsproject progress towards project goals, coaches and motivates team members tomake needed adjustments in plans to meet milestones and to achieve goals.Facilitates and documents lessons learned on projects to use on futureprojects. Recognizes team members for meeting and exceeding goals.

  • Recognizesproject issues and concerns requiring resolution in a timely and professionalmanner and addresses them with management and appropriate staff members.

  • Preparesdocumentation defining policies to be established with management's approval,providing supporting documentation and specifications as needed.

  • Schedulesand conduct status meetings with involved staff and management, to ensuretimely completion of project tasks and addressing and resolving problems thatcould prevent timely completion of the project.

  • Prepares,provides and communicates progress reports on project status for staff andmanagement review
