Job Description Summary
Responsible for translating business requirements into specific system, application or process designs, including working with business personnel and executives to identify functional requirements and in developing business justification.
Essential Job Functions
Provide architecture services forlines of businesses (retail banking, small medium business, wealth or corporate services like risk and compliance).
Promote an architecture strategy for BOW that furthers an integrated customer experience, enables digitalizationand development of common services and capabilities across the BOW enterprise
Define and implement consistent architecture and technology governance practices for BOW throughout the planning and delivery cycles. Provide both technology and architecture oversight and governance as part of this process
Lead architecture efforts that promote and implement greater architectural consistency and technology sharing across BOW
Understand and promote the role of architectural best practices; communicate effectively with all key constituents and actively promote the needs and benefits of governance, architecture and standards
Be a key contributor to the overall technology strategy and ensuring the realization of goals such as reuse, infrastructure simplification, cost management and flexibility
Build strong cross-organizational relationships and effectively influence staff across the IT organization and broader enterprise
Develop the architecture community within BOW and mentor architects in the development of their skills
Define conceptual approaches and solutions architecture for BOW applications and integration among applications and services
Create conceptual and software architecture documents using industry best practices for documenting architecture. Consider both business and technical audiences
Collaborate with development groups and software vendors to identify and define solutions for complex, global business requirements
Collaborate with internal partners to define application standards, conventions and best practices including compliance with security requirements
Provide cross-application subject matter expertise for BOW solutions
Participate in application capacity planning and facilitate application proof of concepts
Oversee the evaluation and selection of 3rd party software packages as well as the design of standard application configuration of these packages
Multi-task in complex, global environment while focusing on architectural success of multiple projects
Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect
Minimum of 10 years of IT experience
Creative thinking and approach, essential to collaboration with BOW customers, product groups and account management to determine solutions that further the business and align with business plans and technology strategies
Outstanding analytical skills; able to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources
Exceptional communication skills; Highly effective written, verbal and presentation skills…articulate, conveys ideas/points clearly and concisely, comfortable with technical and non-technical audiences
Strong facilitation and listening skills
Ability to represent technical and business issues and solutions to multiple levels internally and externally to support strategic organizational plans
Interpersonal skills that lend themselves to effectively negotiating priorities and resolving conflicts among project stakeholders
Excellent architecture documentation and modeling skills
Strong software development, design and application architecture skills
Independent personality who can quickly ramp up, determine plan of actions, resolve issues, and strive towards the goal with minimal assistance

Strong strategic thinker with an ability to communicate an IT vision
Prefer experience in the financial services industry
Current with new technologies that offer a modern digital experience
Experience with architecting and developing solutions for highly scalable, highly available systems
Experience in architecting multi-tiered solutions based on architectural best practices
Experience with service oriented architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technology and other middleware technologies
Experience with customer-facing external online front-end architecture like online public and secure-session site, mobile application, online origination
Experience with TOGAF Enterprise Architecture
Experience with Microsoft Technology Stack & Java Technology Stack
Experience implementing and deploying using leading cloud technologies
Experience with Micro Service & API technology
Experience migrating applications from Legacy to Cloud
Experience with the security aspect of protecting high monetary value and customer-sensitive data
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics
Other Job Duties
Lead multifunctional teams in successful application of methodologies and architecture modeling tool
Engage with business domains to initiate/lead the engagement after analysis to develop target reference architecture, technical roadmap, strategy and blueprints
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires highest knowledge and mastery of multiple job areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
Viewed as the leading expert and/or resource within the field by peers within and outside the organization.
Requires 12 years minimum prior relevant experience.
