Job Description Summary

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will work closely with the Process Owners and Process Managers across operations to define and implement a strategy for an effective and sustainable business quality assurance function. This is accountable for understanding what defines success from a customer experience (internal and external), regulatory, throughput (accuracy, efficiency) for each in-scope process and ensure well-understood consequence management process leveraged to ensure continuous improvement across the value chain. You will be setting the QA team’s technical vision and roadmap, developing and tracking strategic implementation. The successful Quality Assurance Manager has strong customer focus and is obsessed with continuous quality improvement; they are experienced and highly committed to building a strong and high performing team. While QA is an independent function, the process owners and process managers are customers of the QA process.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the strategy

  • Working with business process owners and managers to prioritize assurance activities and requirements

  • Using a data-driven, risk-based approach, understanding criteria for success to document overarching process including QA activities, measurement, sample methodology, metrics and reporting (up and down stream), feedback loops (calibration forums, manager coaching), documentation of results, and criteria for various QA types, consequence management protocols

  • Responsible for development of quality assurance test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses

  • Overseeing the development and execution of quality assurance test plans, monitoring and reporting on test execution and quality metrics

  • Define and develop a high-performing team of passionate, knowledgeable and experienced employees who build collaborative relationships with teammates and partners

The successful candidate is an experienced but hands-on leader who can build an organization and ensure it performs

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent

  • 3 years of relevant experience

  • 3 years people management experience

  • Experience in a quality assurance role/organization that is responsible for end-end validation for a critical to quality processes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong business and technical vision

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • A deep understanding of quality assurance in a team

  • A deep understanding of automation testing by leading engineers who can write automation scripts/programs that will aid in automated testing
