This role is responsible for taking a lead role in ensuring that the Risk Management Group’s business unit policies, procedures and practices align with BoW 2 nd line of defense Operational Risk requirements and providing challenge for continuous enhancements of the Risk Management Function’s operational processes.
Lead Risk Management Group’s 1 st Line of Defense Risk and Controls implementation of Operational Risk and Permanent Control assessment (RCSA), control review and coordinating action plan follow-up. Manage the scope and the assessment calendar, drive/facilitate the assessments and document processes (including process flows/narratives, risks/controls, control performance) and ensure action plan follow-up.
Lead Risk Management Group in identifying Operational Event/Losses and performance of Root Cause Analysis; KRI/KPI design and monitoring; coordinate/facilitate Potential New Activity reviews.
Perform reporting and analysis on the state of implementation and results of the 1LOD C&G Program in the Risk Management Group’s senior leadership team meetings including assessment calendar status updates; results of Risk Assessments and associated findings; Audit/Regulatory finding/recommendation status updates; etc.
Track findings/recommendations to ensure owners are managing their recommendations, providing periodic status updates and remediating issues timely.
Coordinate BCP including completion of BIA, BCP Plans, DR exercises and testing and Vendor due diligence/risk assessments.
Work with the assigned Business Group affected by changing laws, regulations or policies to ensure that appropriate changes are implemented.
Coordinate and promote the identification and recording of historical operational risk incidents
Contribute to any Internal Control and Operational Risk statement/reporting
Identify and report/escalation alerts on Operational Risk and Permanent Control issues
Work in close collaboration / Liaise with Op Control and Audit team – and contribute to 1 st LOD governance structure
