Job Description Summary

Team Lead is responsible for managing administration and documentation for all loans within the assigned CBG Divisions (Religious Institution Banking (RIB), Real Estate Industries Division (REID), Agribusiness Banking Division (ABD), and National Banking Division (NBD)). Manages a group of administrators responsible for due diligence, documentation and compliance activities for all loan types within the assigned Division. Ensures that field office and customer expectations are met with respect to processing times and quality. Responsible for ensuring very low error rate when submitting documentation and diligence packages to a central document review group.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage a team handling commercial loan due diligence, documentation and compliance activities for all loan types within the assigned Division. Make decisions on escalated matters.

  • Supervise loan administration and documentation cycle times to ensure that customer and field office expectations are met.

  • Implement and refine "deal team" staffing model to ensure familiarity and trust between administrative and field office staff.

  • Manage routing / triage model for incoming loans with complex diligence or documentation needs based on administration staff expertise and capacity.

  • Manage hiring, training, promotion and career path opportunities to optimize staff expertise and recruit / retain high-performing staff administrators.

  • Report directly to Head of CBG Loan Operations (with dotted-line reporting to Heads of their respective Business Lines to ensure that field offices are appropriately serviced).

Required Experience

  • Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one area.

  • Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.

  • Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience.


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • H.S. Diploma


  • Extensive knowledge of commercial real estate loan documentation and legal terms.

  • Extensive knowledge of commercial real estate loan collateral and due diligence processes.

  • Familiarity with commercial real estate loan compliance requirements.

  • 10 Years experience in a commercial real estate lending operations.

  • Management of commercial real estate loan administration and / or documentation functions.
