Job Description Summary
Responsible for managing the Asset Management Department for the Equipment Finance Division. Oversees daily operations and governs workflow responsibility and assignments for the group. This includes being responsible for all asset management functions including, but not limited to, residual valuation, equipment appraisals, end-of-lease monitoring and negotiation, remarketing returned equipment, and working with the special assets department in restructuring distressed transactions including the remarketing of repossessed equipment and providing periodic portfolio reviews to track residual exposure and insure compliance with FASB13 and external audits.
Essential Job Functions
Develops policies and strategies for implementing and monitoring the EFD Asset Management department functions including, but not limited to, residual valuation, equipment appraisals, end-of-lease monitoring and negotiation, and remarketing returned equipment.
Supervises the Asset Management Department to insure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Serve as primary asset management resource to peers throughout organization.
Negotiates contracts with external providers of repossession/remarketing services.
Designs policies and procedures to insure operational risk compliance.
Coordinateswith Division level risk management for strategic outlook and planning.
Meets with prospective lessees, vendors, dealers, and manufacturers as needed.
Maintains the bank's residual loan policy, equipment matrix and recommends changes as needed.
Other Job Duties
- Oversees design and implementation of Inventory database and workflow processes.
Requires 10 - 12 years minimum prior relevant experience in Asset Management within Equipment Finance.
Must have a strong working knowledge with a wide range of leasing products and markets covering a broad spectrum of assets and industries with a principal focus on transportation, construction, material handling, machine tools, diversified manufacturing and agricultural equipment, technology
Hands-on knowledge of remarketing with a proven record in portfolio management and end of lease sales
Knowledge of credit, accounting, and tax issues related to leasing and asset management
Knowledge of equipment to be financed or leased an appropriate product lease structure for each type of equipment and industry
Knowledge of tools used to perform duties, such as InfoLease Database software
- Bachelor's Degree Finance or Business
