Job Description Summary

Responsible for providing hands-on expertise with the tax reporting and compliance function, including preparation of consolidated/combined income tax returns and consolidated ASC 740 analysis. Understands and applies current tax laws and regulations and monitors proposed legislation for its business impact. Assists with representation of the company in federal and state income tax audits.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assists with the preparation of consolidated/combined income tax returns, including the federal and state tax return work papers, state apportionment schedules and tax estimate payments.

  • Ensures that tax return files are fully documented and audit ready.

  • Assists with the intercompany tax settlement process in compliance with the tax sharing agreement between legal entities in the Bancwest consolidated group and BNPP.

  • Assists with preparation of the annual and quarterly ASC 740 analyses and any related footnote disclosures.

  • Manages and/or assists with federal and state income tax audits.

  • Provides assistance with Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance and CCAR reporting.

  • Provides technical tax support to business units and other departments.

  • Manages initiatives to increase the productivity and efficiency of the tax compliance process.

Required Experience

  • Requires broad management knowledge to lead project teams in one department.

  • Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function.

  • Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience.

  • Certified Public Accountant, CPA Required.


  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Master's preferred.
