Job Description Summary
BNPP Reporting Team is looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded senior financial analyst to join our team. The senior financial analyst's responsibilities include assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, preparing projections, performing research and analysis, and assisting in monthly close process. As a senior financial analyst, you will also coordinate and participate in the design, testing, implementation, and review of complex manual and automated financial and management accounting systems and processes
To be successful as a senior financial analyst, you should be able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, reporting, process improvement and process documentation. You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present information in a concise and easily comprehensible manner. You should be a self-starter, be able to take accountability for assigned tasks and operate with minimal supervision.
Essential Job Functions
Works close with Accounting and Management teams on monthly close process
Analyzes and interprets financial data and compiles reports on current performance, financial developments, financial policies, and significant organization and business line changes. May direct others in the development of such financial analysis
Participates in Quarterly Forecast and Annual Budget process
Performs monthly/quarterly/annual financial consolidation and management control process and documents any discrepancies
Reviews the internal controls and security of all financial and managerial accounting processes to ensure conformity with internal auditing standards
Reviews complex financial and managerial accounting work processes, systems, and procedures for efficient workflow and conformity with accounting and internal audit principles
Analyzes system design alternatives and identifies potential improvements to existing systems and processes
Collaborates with appropriate staff to gather input and feedback concerning financial system needs; resolves issues and problems related to system platforms
Prepares and delivers comprehensive evaluations, proposals, and recommendations to executive leadership, committees, and other stakeholders
Prepares specifications and documentation such as user manuals for new and revised computerized financial and managerial accounting systems and/or processes
May plan, conduct and supervise long term projects
Other Job Duties

Thorough knowledge of Banking Industry
Thorough knowledge of financial institution balance sheet and profit and loss analysis techniques.
Thorough knowledge of financial and cost accounting, financial analysis, and principles of economics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well independently and better in a team
Possess strong attention to details, effective multitasking, and swift strategic thinking skills
Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); familiarity with International Financial Reporting standards (IFRS).
Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in database development.
Hands on experience managing complex projects
Excellent communication skills – effective communication both written and oral
Excellent presentation skills – the ability to understand and interpret complex data easily to all necessary stakeholders
Thorough knowledge Microsoft Office Suite, advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point
Hyperion knowledge preferred
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related fields required, Masters degree preferred
Minimum 7 years of experience as Financial/FP&A Analyst or Finance Business Analyst
