Job Description Summary
Responsible for supporting the corporate financial planning and analysis team with operations and analytics. Performs a variety of complex duties including the collection and analysis of financial data from reports and various sources; performs statistical analyses. Prepares materials for distribution to the board of directors and executive management committee. Perform in-depth analysis and provide meaningful insights to senior leadership.
Essential Job Functions
Performs monthlyreviews and evaluates actual financial performance of the Bank's business unitsand conducts variance analysis relative to plan and prior month.
Acts as primary liaisonbetween corporate finance and business units within the Bank. In the role asliaison the position focuses on communication and providing superior customerservice to the business units. Examples of the types of communication that theposition is responsible include but not limited to communicating significantchanges to processes, communicating items identified in the review or analysisof monthly financial results and propose ideas/solutions to identified issues/key projects.
Coordinates withreporting/planning systems team to ensure all planning requirements aredelivered before deadlines.
Assist in researchingrelevant business developments in the organization and/or industry.
Offer coverage acrossteam and provide surge support to primary FP&A functions. Provide trainingand guidance to less-experienced staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degreein Finance/Economics – Required; Master’s/Advanced Degreein Finance/Economics/MBA - Preferred
Requires 6 years priorrelevant experience within financial analysis.
Strong practicalworking knowledge of finance and accounting concepts; knowledge of financialinstitution balance sheet, profit and loss and analysis techniques preferred
Excellent Power Point & Excel skillsrequired; VBA strongly preferred
Experience with Hyperion & Essbase a plus
Demonstrated ability to develop solutions tohighly complex and diverse analytical problems which requires an in-depthevaluation of variable factor
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams;ability to lead others and influence in a matrix environment
Strong professional communication andpresentation skills; must have strong professional maturity
Ability to deal with changes, ambiguity, anduncertainty
Able to manage multiple projects, andeffectively prioritize workload when dealing with multiple deadlines
Organized and attentive to detail; Self-starterand highly motivated
Appreciation of a tight control process,ability and willingness to clearly document tools, results and other productsof work
