Job Description Summary

Tasked with managing relationships with dedicated business areas, and serves as a primary point of contact between Enterprise Portfolio Services (EPS) and the business on project investment decisions. The role routinely interacts with key business Executives and senior managers as well as IT, Business Architects, and Innovation office to ensure alignment between business and IT roadmaps, as well as strategic alignment across the Enterprise.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manages portfolio of proposed project ideas for the assigned line of business(s)

  • Working for the greater needs of the enterprise/EPS, serves as the primary point of contact for the business and helps facilitate the translation of business ideas/needs into cohesive, well-developed proposals for project investments

  • Provides input and business perspective to IT strategy and architecture development process.

  • Stays in tune with new technologies and trends. Actively coordinates with other EPS Business Relationship Managers to stay abreast of efforts under consideration by other business lines

  • Critically evaluates project idea proposals, including the quality of estimated benefits, project investment demand for appropriate scope, definition, and stakeholder engagement. Ensures that only feasible ideas that are aligned with bank strategy, with a clear benefits case progress through work intake stages.

  • Identifies opportunities for reusing applications/ platforms and synergies among businesses

  • Partners with IT Solutions and Enterprise Architecture teams to select appropriate technical solution for a given project investment idea while ensuring robust cost estimates, business case development.

  • Actively contributes to business-level portfolio prioritization discussions (i.e., investment, resourcing, timing), based on thoughtful, strategic alignment for projects/demand while providing across-business line perspective.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 15 years business, technology and/or consulting experience.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, IT, or Management

Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership in Organizational Change Management.

  • Excellent relationship building and Stakeholder Management skills.

  • Strategic and tactical planning and financial/ budgeting skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Financials services background is preferred.
