This team is primarily located in the Bay Area (California), but has the ability to be remote in states where we have branches (Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming).

Job Description Summary

Responsible for identifying, evaluating and recommending optimal locations for new retail branches in target market areas. Works closely with Division and RBG staff to obtain pertinent site information to factually evaluate potential locations from a marketing, financial (revenue & profitability) and operational perspective. Works directly with Branch Network Management and Corporate Real Estate and presents alternative new sites to Division management.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provides Division & RBG Management with detailed analysis of alternative sites and makes recommendations based on research and analysis.

  • Commands detailed knowledge of target market trade areas and the components to create branch success.

  • Partners with Division staff (region managers, sales development managers, DAM’s) in the research and analysis of target market areas.

  • Develops and implements processes and templates to standardize site evaluations and recommendations to Management.

  • Establishes an efficient communication system for tracking the progress and results of all de novo branch expansions and reports to all business partners.

  • Builds teamwork among those groups associated with the de novo branch expansion process i.e. Division/Region staff, RBG, Real Estate and Facilities.

Other Job Duties

  • Works with existing branches to understand their lines of business, sources of revenue and growth plans.

  • Maintains current knowledge of market opportunities, trade area changes (demographics, investment), competitive activity etc.

  • Ensures compliance with personnel, management and operational policy and procedures.

  • Ensure that all activities minimize the loss exposure of the bank’s assets and of the bank’s credibility to its customers.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

  • Typically viewed as a specialist within discipline.

  • May have broad knowledge of project management.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

Skills

  • Understanding of financial and statistical analysis.

  • Ability to utilize necessary software to create presentations and reporting for the Division.
