Job Description Summary
Responsible for the design, development, modification, adaption, and/or implementation and post implementation support of short- and long-term software solutions to business and technology needs. Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs and implements software solutions as needed within the application support framework. Works independently in a fast paced environment on highly complex issues.
Essential Job Functions
Leads software support or technical support services typically in a defined highly complex project(s)
Create Application Architecture and Design
Conducts a wide range of highly complex technical analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements
Reviews and develops improvements to system support requirements and business processes; debugs and implements software solutions.
Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented
Establishes improvements to increase efficiency
Develops software support policies, standards and procedures
Revises and approves test plans and operational scripts to ensure alignment with standards and Technology strategy
Other Job Duties
Ensures that system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved
Creates Support approach, Estimation, Systems Operations Plan, Software Deployment Guide, Supplemental or non functional specification
Manages tasks of team of engineers and their delivery
Coordinates and communicates applications support activities with key stakeholders
Reviews and advises IT standards and procedures
Look for opportunities to bring efficiencies in the application support methodology.
Performs duties as performed
Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have deep knowledge of project management.
Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience.
10 years of experience in Application Support / Development experience in legacy, SAAS, vendor supported applications.
8 years of experience architecting/implementing operationally efficient solutions.
8 years of experience supporting applications in Linux/Windows environment supporting incident/change management for day to day operations.
5 years of experience supporting multiple applications in Corporate, Finance, Risk , HR applications in financial/banking industry.
8 years of experience on supporting SLA , triaging/managing critical command center calls resolving P1 critical issues.
5 years of experience working powershell/python/shellscript.
3 years of experience working on Agile/scrum methodology
