Job Description Summary

We’re looking for a superior storyteller and strategist to help us tell the stories that matter to the people who care.

Our bank is in transformation mode: we have a sustainable energy policy, and will no longer fund things like coal and arctic drilling. We also have stories to tell about our commitment to women’s entrepreneurship, the environment, and other business-focused initiatives.

This position is a senior position that’s equal parts strategy and execution. The content marketing lead is responsible for leading, identifying, developing, and scheduling the distribution of content across media channels with a focus on driving engagement and leads for B2C and B2B audiences.

This person will be responsible for defining personas across our business lines; identifying relevant content ideas and opportunities based on listening data (trends) and business integration; creating outstanding content in cost-effective ways; and distributing that content to maximize engagement. S/he will also be responsible for managing an internal team and external contractors, as well as the writing, editing, and production for digital content initiatives across various channels.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage content from end-to-end, including blogs, social media channels, videos, infographics, etc.

  • Act as Editor-in-Chief and "chief storyteller" by defining big themes, stories, and narratives with oversight and quality assurance of all content creation.

  • Work effectively with internal stakeholders, including heavy engagement with Business Line, Communications, Marketing, Sponsorship, Advertising, Social Media and agency leads.

  • Manage a team of FTE, contract, and agency writers, designers, and videographers

  • Work with analytics team and channel leaders to act on relevant insights, measure effectiveness, and produce reporting.

  • Drive our content strategy and execution for Bank's content marketing, social media programs, and communities.



Required Experience

  • Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one area.

  • Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.

  • Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience.


  • Bachelor's Degree Communication or Business


  • Experience overseeing staff and creating an environment of fun, productive, collaboration.

  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and execute multimedia content, integrated programs, and big stories and ideas.

  • Expert level proficiency with social networks, blogs, and content strategies.

  • A passion for customers, communications, and social media is essential.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision, and quickly comprehend, strategize and effectively execute on changing priorities as necessary.

  • Must demonstrate superior written, interpersonal, project management and leadership skills.
