Partnering with senior team members across Risk and Capital Markets divisions, the applicant will be responsible for providing detailed analysis of financial statements, underwriting, and monitoring of the Bank’s exposures and relationships with financial institutions. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to become subject matter experts in credit derivatives, loans, debt instruments, and other traded products, as well be actively involved with idea generation and implementation around how to improve risk methodologies in a changing financial landscape.

This is a professional role and provides individuals the opportunity to grow and develop a skill set that is required for a career in risk, investment banking, trading, relationship management, and/or credit products.

Essential Job Functions

  • Strong communication skills as the applicant will regularly interact with Relationship Managers, Trading Desks, Treasury, Trade Finance, Loan Servicing, Operations, Legal and other personnel in order to understand and underwrite transactions within both the local Bank and parent organization

  • Ability to manage the risk of complex financial products and transactions.

  • Take personal responsibility for oversight and approval of credit exposures, including frequent presentations to senior management and other stakeholders.

  • Proactively manage the transaction process including client follow-up.

  • Interacts with other Bank personnel regarding issues of credit quality, appropriate structure, as well as new business and related trends.

Other Job Duties

  • Views credit quality as a personal obligation; exhibits independent judgment; ensures balanced risk presentations; responsible for on-going account monitoring; proactive in problem detection/resolution; contributes to maintaining balance between growth and credit quality.

  • Provides support to managers for special projects and reporting tasks. Such special projects may include trade comps, market trends, and senior management presentations.

  • Prepares and updates reports as necessary.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Required Experience

  • Requires previous experience and/or familiarity with the Financial Institutions industry through advanced education and/or experience.

  • May have practical knowledge of project management.

  • Requires 2-5 years minimum prior relevant experience.


  • Bachelor's Degree Business or Finance


  • General Administrative/Technical Skills.

  • Proficient knowledge and ability to analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow.

  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

  • Proficient written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to perform independently with a minimum of supervision.

  • Good organizational skills.
