Job Description Summary
Generates SBA loans, deposits and fee income for the Small Medium Enterprise Business Banking team. Works in partnership with Branch Managers,Branch sales staff, Remote Relationship Managers, and Coverage Relationship Managers to develop or expand SBA business relationships. Responsible for originating and funding SBA loans in designated regions of the bank's footprint. Annual production objectives are generally around $10 million in 7(a) loans eligible for sale in the Secondary Market.
Essential Job Functions
Generates new business through prospecting, establishing internal banking partnerships, outside networks, and referrals sources.
Develops and implements marketing activities within the budgetary constraints established by the SBA Regional Manager.
Works with the Regional Manager and internal leadership partners to develop and implement marketing plans that drives success and growth of an assigned sales territory.
Maintains a referral source database for all marketing purposes and activities.
Makes a substantial number of daily calls on internal partners, centers of influence (COIs) and prospective clients.
Works to foster new and expand existing customer relationships through cross-selling products and services.
Maintains and applies a thorough understanding of the bank’s credit policy, SBA eligibility and all necessary business practices to ensure the submission of accurate and complete loan application packages.
Provides management with competitive feedback regarding current policies and practices.
Other Job Duties
Assists the bank in the promotion of all product lines offered in assigned market.
Generates loans that maintain an acceptable level of performance. Assists special assets and credit services in any requested servicing action within assigned marketing area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have practical knowledge of project management.
Requires 5 years minimum prior relevant experience.

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of underwriting or evaluating commercial credit
Knowledge and understanding of business banking: sales or credit
Knowledge and understanding of CRM tools
Small Business Administration (SBA) 7a and 504 Lending experience
