Job Description Summary
With moderate supervision, participates in the design, engineering, development, testing, implementation, operation and maintenance of network infrastructure devices such as, servers, storage, routers, switches, firewalls, proxies and other related technologies in a virtualized enterprise environment. Maintains technical quality in operating environments through monitoring and implementation of solutions.
Endpoint Support partners with all Lines of Business (LOB) in all aspects of the business to ensure needed tools and equipment are readily available. Basic functions include hardware setup, network setup and installing/configuring software such as macOS, Cisco, Adobe, Microsoft, Xcode, etc. Desktop Support such as troubleshooting and Root cause analysis, repair and replacement. Identify equipment lifecycle. Engineering Support of local and remote environments. Inventory Control of equipment such as Computers, Printers, Keyboards, Mice, etc. is a requirement of Endpoint Support.
Essential Job Functions
Interfaces with vendors and servicing agents to obtain equipment and services.
Intermediate knowledge of regulatory environment and compliance related issues.
Intermediate knowledge of datacenter design and operations.
Remains current on new technology and maintains appropriate certifications.
Prepares reports and follow-up and evaluates results.
Follows documented techniques and performs testing and certifications.
Installs system hardware and software, ensures proper performance and stabilizes systems.
Maintains technical quality in operating environments through the monitoring and development of solutions.
Other Job Duties
Diagnoses and provides solutions to problems clients are experiencing. Mid-tier resource for problem support.
Coordinates the tasks associated with repairs or installations.
Reviews and contributes to system and network performance results, the development of system standards, strategies, and workflows.
Ensures the compliance with documented strategies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have practical knowledge of project management.
Requires 5 years minimum prior relevant experience.
Design, develop and maintain user features and support Apple devices.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
Experience providing support for Macs, iOS, iPadOS and other computing devices
Experience packaging applications.
Experience patching and upgrading OS of Apple devices.
Experience with scripting for automation and efficiency.
Experience managing Apple devices using Jamf Pro.
Experience designing and maintaining infrastructure used for supporting Apple devices.
Experience supporting printers, scanners and other peripherals
Experience providing support to individuals remotely as well as onsite
Experience using help desk software to manage and prioritize tasks
Baseline knowledge of networking
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Effectively coordinates work and communication across different groups of individuals
Excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple opposing priorities
Excellent client services skills and email etiquette
Passion for crafting an outstanding customer experience
Ability to work with Apple Engineers to test and debug features and systems.
Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and future planning needs of the company's desktop environment
Collaborate with management on using new and existing technology
Consult with Information Security, Network Administrators, and Process Engineers to make sure system related new/expansion projects are in line with the company's plans.
Monitor the performance of the company's desktop infrastructure and make suggestions for improving efficiency.
Evaluate IS&T provided security profiles, applications, and software patches for proper desktop function.
Implement projects according to design.
Maintain inventory of system and peripheral equipment
A Mac enthusiast that has worked on a range of Mac applications.
Driven to create high quality client facing products for our Mac customers.
A curious problem solver that builds elegant innovative solutions.
Associates Degree, Electronic certification, or 3 years relevant experience required. Bachelor of Science (BS) or equivalent preferred.
Jamf 100, 200, 300 Certifications preferred.
Intimate knowledge of Apple development environmes and tools.
The ability to evaluate new and existing Apple technologies and make recommendations for application improvements.
Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills.
