The Software Asset Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining processes to manage software assets. The focus will be to understand and control software licensing costs and oversee the maintenance and compliance of contracts and licenses.
Manage Enterprise License true-up & reconciliation. Provide support during software audits. Recommend audit defense strategies.
Develop and implement the SAM strategy across the bank
Enforce software compliance rules and plan and monitor SW licenses to ensure compliance with vendor contracts
Understand principles used to calculate metrics of licenses
Work with Procurement to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to and purchases are tracked correctly
Identify savings opportunities through software re-licensing and license optimization
Develop and implement performance metrics to capture efficiency
Respond to requests from software owners, end users, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management information
Actively assess risk and makes recommendations to software owners to optimize the software assets
Keep informed of new software license models and options for key vendor products
Serve as a cost optimization champion with the IT organization
Oversee the initialization of inventory campaigns of software rights
7 years’ experience in Software Asset Management in an enterprise environment
Knowledge of vendor licensing terms and conditions
Knowledge of general procurement procedures, policies and asset depreciation
Advanced knowledge of Software Asset Management practices
Understand Asset Management tools and technologies
Strong finance acumen
Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Accounting, Finance or related field
