Job Description Summary

Responsible for leading the Branch Technology team, in order to develop, build, implement, support and maintain branch initiatives.

  1. Responsible for ensuring that the IT systems are functioning properly for Branch Employees according to best practices and standards.

  2. Directly responsible for defining implementation and support plans for branch systems: TCR, ATM, peripherals, iPads and Pin Pads

  3. Indirectly responsible for implementation and systemic issues impacting systems and functions that run in the branches including: TouchPoint, Performance issues, Network expansion, Information Security, workstation, printing, videoes, training rooms and others.

  4. Create an environment of teamwork, collaboration, ownership and accountability managing multiple Retail/Branch projects.

  5. Review project plans and partner with program management, development teams and other stakeholders as required in order to develop/establish and continually improve our branch delivery solutions.

  6. Recommend improvement practices, tools and processes to management based on current and emerging technologies that lead to improved performance, reduced costs and/or efficiencies.

  7. Builds quality into the entire SDLC process, including consulting and coordinating throughout project lifecycle. Responsible for leading and managing the Branch Technology team Branch applications within the IT Service Delivery teams.

  8. Responsible for providing strategic and daily direction of the Branch Technology Solutions across multiple projects across multiple teams, when necessary.

  9. Ensure automation is embraced and processes are refined to maximize the effectiveness of the entire Bank of the West team.

  10. Attract, hire, lead and mentor team members with great attitudes and a spirit of collaboration and diplomacy.

Essential Job Functions

  • Works with development, analysts, engineers and architects to find the most optimal technical solution. Ensures the creation of project plans to support that solution.

  • Independently works with business partners to ensure that all business requirements and test scenarios are captured within plans.

  • Provides consultation to implementation plan creation and conceptual approaches or architectures. Drives Branch Technology projects within the team across all of IT.

  • Leads the resolution of systemic issues discovered in production across multiple teams to ensure optimal performance. Works with BEST and ECC to ensure optimal problem mitigation and resolution.

  • Develops Strategy and Quality Procedures for the team while keeping current with trends, practices and new technology in the branches.

  • Develops quality metrics/ standards that identify gaps and ensure compliance with standards across the enterprise.

  • Works with business and IT partners to remediate identified gaps in service/performance.

  • Establishes processes to continuously measure and monitor performance. Ensures processes are in place to proactively detect, correct, prevent and mitigate impact of future occurrences.

  • Governs issue tracking processes / tools to ensure business goals are met. Acts as a single Point of Escalation for IT issues impacted branch delivery. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Experience in Financial Services - 10 years.

  • Prior Exerience working with Branch Banking platforms and technology of 5 years - Required.

  • Prior Managment experience of 5 years - Required.

  • Great Communication skills.

  • Deep Technical skills. Ability to collaborate with diplomacy to drive to a better solution - Critical.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
