Job Description Summary
Primary responsibilities include portfolio management and underwriting credit requests for corporate and middle market companies, with the goal of delivering customized credit solutions to clients while minimizing losses and maintaining compliance with credit policies.
Essential Job Functions
Manage an assigned portfolio of 8-10 relationships. Develop customized credit solutions, perform credit analysis and presentations, manage the portfolio to meet customer and prospect needs, minimize credit losses to the Bank. Identify opportunities to enhance returns to the Bank.
Support the Senior Lead Credit Products Officers in management of their portfolio via annual reviews, monitoring of covenant compliance and credit quality, analytical support for new credit requests and documentation review.
Work in close collaboration with the Relationship Managers including jointly calling on commercial clients and prospects.
Support division’s growth and profitability by delivering strong client experience through timely underwriting of credit requests and proactive monitoring of the credit portfolio.
Work closely with other CBG Departments (e.g. Cash Management, Capital Markets, Equipment Leasing, Trade Finance), and other major areas of the Bank to manage the risk of various financial products and services.
Other Job Duties
Interact with Credit & Counterparty Risk officers, Industry vertical bankers, Appraisal Review, Legal, and other related Bank personnel regarding issues of credit quality, appropriate compensation for risk, as well as new business and related industry trends.
View credit quality as a personal obligation; exhibit independent judgment; responsible for timely portfolio monitoring; proactive in problem detection/resolution; maintain balance between growth and credit quality.
May act as a specialist for the Bank in specific industry. Keep current on all economic and other issues impacting industry.
Performs other duties as assigned including assisting the manager with various projects.
Bachelor's Degree required with concentration (or equivalent college course work) in business, finance, or accounting.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience of demonstrated commercial credit underwriting and loan structuring experience with middle market & corporate transactions.
Demonstrated capability in advanced financial and cash flow analysis.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and systems used for financial spreads.
Ability to perform independently with some guidance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good organizational and time management skills.
