Job Description Summary
Responsible for ensuring accuracy, thoroughness and timeliness of pre and post closing functions performed in the department. Ensures adherence to all compliance requirements and Bank policy and procedures. Reviews collateral and credit files for downgraded credit to identify potential issues.
Essential Job Functions
- Conducts quality control for the department by reviewing completed files to verify correctness and completeness of loan documentation packages including verification of lien position, that supporting documents have been obtained and reviewed and that all closing conditions have been met. Reviews credit and collateral files for downgraded credits. Communicates deficiencies to Account Officer and internal management. Assists to resolve deficiencies when possible Verifies the loan system coding is correct to ensure proper reporting and representation of the terms of the loan. Responsible for helping to maintain the integrity of information in the Finance Center application. Reviews attachment to validate usage of approved naming conventions in the electronic credit files and ensures tickler/covenant records have been set up accurately and in a timely manner.Creates weekly management reporting. Identifies trends and training opportunities and makes recommendations to Department Manager based on the findings. Assists with ensuring consistency within the Department.Identifies and reports specific compliance issues. Stays abreast of changes to regulations, policy and procedure and makes recommendations for additional training and/or procedural changes.Identifies areas for improvement by understanding the global needs of the Bank and works with management and Process Improvement towards implementing changes to internal procedures and/or recommendations for external departments.

Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have practical knowledge of project management.
Requires 5 years minimum prior relevant experience.
