Job Description Summary

Responsible for improving upon existing processes and systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation through internal partnerships within Wealth Management Group (WMG) and Enterprise leaders across the organization (Consumer Bank, Commercial Banking, Small & Medium Enterprises, & Corporate) to develop and execute transformational strategies, delivering sustainable financial results. Collaborate with other strategy team members to lead initiative that supports WMG Business transversally (Operations, IT, Digital, Sales, GIFS, Key Client Group, Client Solutions). May lead and develop WMG strategies to improve team member engagement through GPS Survey, Recognition programs and work significantly to improve existing processes and practices across WMG.

Essential Job Functions

  • Defines short term and long term internal partnership strategies and goals, as well as corresponding initiatives and action plans to support overall growth. Leads strategic initiatives that may include IT, Digital, and Sales.

  • Develops and implements simple and fresh sales strategies and performance tactics across all divisions to transform the sales culture by enhancing daily behaviors. Incorporates expectations regarding behaviors and tactics for customer engagement and servicing events into overall sales strategies and tactics. Devises methods of tracking activities and behaviors to ensure a consistent customer experience, including on-boarding of new accounts.

  • Develops sales tactics and customer sales message cues in conjunction with and in support of bank-wide and local sales campaigns.

  • Private Banking Operations (PBO) responsible for reporting of client list, referrals and AUM/Revenue Data; As key representative from WMG, works with CCB, SME & PF Business units to present WMG products and offerings, build strategies for client acquisition or deepening of relationships, provide new hire orientation to showcase WMG products, offerings and how to work together for referrals and clients; May lead or participate in cross functional projects; Prepares various marketing materials for PBO and CE, Prepares PBO playbook, PBO SharePoint page, CIB Connection, Bank at Work program liaison, and other strategic items of importance.

  • Performs WMG team member audits annually through GPS Surveys and other tools to determine team member engagement in each department to highlight positive behaviors and to identify opportunities to enhance behaviors and tactics. Captures sales behavior best practices and communicate to all sales personnel. Captures sales process inefficiencies and obstacles and work with business partners to redesign.

  • Defines, develop and implement clear performance metrics and monitoring programs to track performance in a simple, easy to understand manner, including: product sales; expanding relationships and product use with existing customers.

  • Continually delivers communications that reinforces the overall sales strategy and culture, that recognizes the behaviors that are consistent with delivering the desired sales and service results, and speaks to leveraging service opportunities to enhance customer confidence and expanded relationships.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

  • May have deep knowledge of project management.

  • Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience leading enterprise wide strategies within a financial institution, preferably within Wealth Management, Investment and/or broker dealer environment.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration or related field

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of banking products, services, sales and delivery.

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills including decision making, creative and negotiation skills are required.

  • Interpersonal skill requirements including the ability to manage, lead, develop and motivate professional staff and ability to work on interdepartmental project teams, and make recommendations or take appropriate actions.

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written with ability to create and deliver presentations

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.

  • Able to use Microsoft Products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software as needed.
